Del-Dixi Pickles was purchased by Best maid Products, Inc. in the early 1960's and proved to be a good business move for gaining Texas market share. The Del-Dixi brand was so well established in South Texas that it was decided to keep the appearance the same. Since the flavors of Del-Dixi and Best Maid were similar, the transition went quite smooth. Today Del-Dixi represents the number 1 pickle in South Texas and is sold at every major grocery store in that region.
